Three terms worth knowing.

Credentialing Event

Any time a provider is credentialed at a new facility or hospital system. Does not include reappointments at an existing facility.

Cross Credentialing

Credentialing an already-credentialed provider at an additional facility within the same system. Priced below a full credentialing event because the primary source verification carries over.

Reappointment

Renewal of privileges at a facility where the provider is already credentialed — typically every two years. $750 per facility.
